Handcrafted Bamboo Whisk

Handcrafted from a single piece of bamboo, this classic chasen (matcha whisk) has around 100 fine tines that help create a smooth, foamy consistency. It is the traditional tool for preparing matcha and an essential part of any matcha set.
手入れの方法
Keep your bamboo whisk in good shape with a few simple steps.
初めて使う前に
Rinse the whisk with warm water to remove any dust. Optional: soak the prongs in warm water for 1–2 minutes to soften them slightly.
使用後
Rinse the whisk under warm running water. Do not use soap, as it can leave a taste. Gently move the whisk in the water to remove any matcha. Do not pull the prongs apart with your fingers and do not leave the whisk standing in water.
乾燥と保管
Let the whisk air dry in a well ventilated place. Ideally place it on a whisk holder, or upside down on a clean cloth so the handle stays dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight and strong heat sources.
Do not put the whisk in the dishwasher.
Do not use soap or detergent, as it can leave a taste.
Do not use boiling water directly on the bamboo.
Do not press or bend the prongs flat.
With this simple care routine your whisk can last through many months of daily matcha.
